Welcome To The Step Up To The Plate For The Animals Homepage!
About My Charity I began this fund to aid the ASPCA in caring for the thousands of animals left helpless by the worse natural disaster in the history of the U.S. The thousands of people affected by this tragedy are depending on the ASPCA to care for their pets while they relocate. However, the ASPCA can only do so if they continue to receive donations! Food, clean water, shelter, and necessary medical care all require funds. The American people have been very generous in donating to groups such as the Red Cross, I only hope that people remember that the citizens affected by Katrina have enough to worry about, nevermind worrying about the welfare of their beloved pets! |
100 % of the money raised by this charity will be sent to the ASPCA Disaster Relief Fund!
Please contact Liz Lowe for donation information by

Step Up to the Plate! My name is Liz Lowe and I am a full time student at the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth. I decided to begin this charity after seeing too many pictures and footage of the poor, helpless animals suffering in areas that had been hit by Katrina. I own two dogs and four cats, so obviously I am an animal lover. I know that many other people feel the same way I do, but there are far fewer outlets for people wanting to donate to organizations that assist the animals than there are ones that are helping the citizens. That is why I decided to begin this fund. I will accept donations for as long as people are willing to give.

Pets provide unconditional love and companionship. For some people whose homes were destroyed by Katrina, their pets are all they have left! Please give generously. |
